God's Promises to Love and Protect Us

Love:
(1)I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. (2)But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD'S love is with those who fear Him. (3)Give ear and come to Me; hear Me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

(4)God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? (5)For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (6)As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His love. (7)But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

(8)As it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. (9)How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

(10)And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

(11)May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Protection:
(12)The LORD is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? (13)So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand…For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

(14)My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (15)He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart…The Lord says, “I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

(16)My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

If you have already welcomed Jesus into your heart and life - Praise God and accept His promises! If you haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please know that the blessings and assurances of salvation are promised to us by our Heavenly Father. If you are ready to openly confess and renounce your evil ways, God promises you forgiveness of sins. The sinner's prayer must come from your heart and I hope this will help you to invite Jesus into yours. (17)For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This prayer is here only as a guide - pour out your heart to God in your own words.

Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that He died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and have eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless. I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Jesus from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart. Please, Lord Jesus, forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend. I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

God's arms are open wide and waiting for you! This is what He is saying to you right now: (18)For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (19)For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
