The Alarm Call!
The Lord is sending out an alarm call to His true believers and followers. It is no longer "Christ is coming
soon," nor "Christ is coming very soon". It is undoubtedly, "Christ is near."
Dear brothers and sisters, I urge and encourage you to go to your Word and read the book of Jude and heed the warning
and encouragement of the Lord. He first encourages us to contend with faith, meaning to stand firm. He warns us not to be
deceived and to be aware of certain men who have crept into His House. He also reminds us of the proud and arrogant and
money hungry deceivers who would use His name to gain what they desire. We must ask the Lord to search our hearts and
repent of our lawlessness and immorality. We must deny ourselves that Christ might be glorified. This means that we are to
disown, forget, ignore and lose sight of ourselves and our dreams, hopes and interests. Stand firm in your faith and be
not swayed to the left nor to the right, for the Lord is our deliverer, provider and helper. Keep your ears and eyes open
for the coming of our Lord and Savior because He is near. Make sure you are in a right standing and that you are fighting
on the right side.
Then He called the crowd to Him along with His disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must
deny himself and take up His cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
life for me and for the gospel will save it.
Mark 8:34-35 |
and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose
it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Matthew 10:38 |
Jesus is giving us the opportunity to make our own choice. We have been given a choice to choose His life which is
exciting, unpredictable and joyous or continue living in our selfish and greedy ways that will eventually send us
straight to hell without a, "Get out of Hell card." He can and will replace fear with a fearless spirit, insecurity
with confidence, sorrow with joy and hurt with love if we have the willingness to allow Him to move, shift and change
us. He will replace the old man with a new life that is reborn in His likeness. The life we lived before we were saved
always left us with an empty void. Nothing could make us feel complete. But when we accepted Jesus into our hearts, we
loved Him, accepted Him and made Him the Lord of our very being. There is no life without Jesus. Life is not worth
living without a Savior, or a Redeemer, or a Counselor. He has so many names, but the greatest name of all is Jesus.
Why? Because His name tells me that He is love, He is hope, He is joy and strength and peace.
When we deny ourselves we are making our lives no longer the center of our attention. We take ourselves to the cross and
crucify all that we are or hope to be and make the decision to make God the Lord of our lives. The cross is nothing but
a representation of death. There is no life at the cross, only death. It is the place where we lay our lives down and
put to death the carnal man. We then cleave to the Lord and only the Lord.
Now is not the time to play silly games with God. We don't have tomorrow to change. We only have this moment to make
God the center of everything we do. As we yield and give our self-will to Him, He can then make us useful for His glory
and we can then walk in His will for each day and for all eternity.
Jesus is coming for a pure and spotless bride, yet to see the state of the church today is appalling. Instead of being a
place of fellowship, it has become a refuge for whoremongers, gamblers, pedophiles, money grabbers and deceivers. The
house of worship has become a house divided and it has fallen greatly. Yet my soul rejoices because it is only another
indication of the coming of Christ. I see the news on the television and heart jumps with joy because all these
malicious and hateful acts must come to pass for Jesus to come.
My flesh would rather feel sorry for everything that is happening in the world today, but because my spirit is very much
alive and longs to be with its maker, I am filled with love, compassion and a great desire to pray for the lost that
they too may find Jesus and make Him Lord of their lives also.
Dear brothers and sisters I beseech thee today to come before your Maker and get right with Him. He is the author of our
lives. He already planned our lives before the beginning of all creation. Make sure that you are ready for the Groom. He
is coming. He is near. Hear the Alarm call and Repent before it's too late.
