Romans 2 v 3 – 5:
So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do
you think you will escape God's judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches
of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads
you towards repentance? But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart,
you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his
righteous judgment will be revealed.
John 8 v 21, 24:
Once more Jesus said to them, "I am going away, and you will look for me, and
you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come." "I told you that you
would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be
you will indeed die in your sins."
John 3 v 36:
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will
not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
Mark 16 v 16:
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe
will be condemned.
Luke 9 v 24 – 26:
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for
me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose
or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of
Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the
Father and of the holy angels.
Matthew 16 v 26:
What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his
soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8 v 36:
What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
Luke 13 v 1- 3:
Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans
whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, "Do you
think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans
because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! but unless you repent, you too
will all perish.
Luke 17 v 1- 2:
Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come,
but woe to the person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be
thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck that for him to cause
one of these little ones to sin.
John 3 v 15 – 16:
That everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.
John 3 v 18:
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands
condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only
son.
John 3 v 36:
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will
not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
Romans 2 v 8 – 9:
But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil,
there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every
human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
Romans 2 v 12:
All who sin apart form the law will also perish apart from the law, all who sin
under the law will be judged by the law.
Romans 14 v 23:
But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not
from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
1 Corinthians 6 v 9 – 10:
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male
prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards
nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 3 v 10:
All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed
is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the
Law."
Galatians 6 v 8:
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap
destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap
eternal life.
Philippians 3 v 18:
For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, man
lives as enemies of the cross of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5 v 3:
While people are saying, "peace and safety," destruction will come on them
suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
2 Thessalonians 1 v 5 – 9:
All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be
counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. So then, let
us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at
night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on
faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God
did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 6 v 8:
But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of
being cursed. In the end it will be burned.
James 1 v 14:
But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire he is dragged away and
enticed.
1 Peter 4 v 17 – 18:
For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins
with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the
ungodly and the sinner?"
1 John 3 v 14:
We know that we have passed from life to death, because we love our brothers.
Anyone who does not love remains in death.
Jude v 13 – 15:
They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for
whom blackest darkness has reserved forever. Enoch, the seventh from Adam
prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands of his holy
ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly they
have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have
spoken against him.
Revelation 6 v 15 – 17:
Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty,
and every slave and every free man hid in caves among the rocks of the
mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us
from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For
the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?
Revelation 11 v 18:
The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging
the dead. And for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those
who reverence your name, both great and small – and for destroying those who
destroy the earth.
Revelation 16 v 2 – 21:
The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful
sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshipped his
image. The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood
like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died. The third angel
poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: "You are just in these
judgments, you who are and were, the Holy One, because you have so judged; for
they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them
blood to drink as they deserve." And I heard the alter respond: "Yes, Lord God
Almighty, true and just are your judgments." The fourth angel poured out his
bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They
were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control
over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. The fifth angel
poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into
darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony and cursed the God of heaven because
of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had
done. The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its
water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw
three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the
dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
They are the spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to
the kings of the whole world, to gather them for battle on the great day of God
Almighty. "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps
his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."
Then they gathered the kings together to a place that in the Hebrew is called
Armageddon. The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air; and out of the
temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" Then there came
flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a sever earthquake. No
earthquake like it since man has been on the earth, so tremendous was the quake.
The great city spilt into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed.
God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of
the fury of his wrath. every island fled away and the mountains could not be
found. from the sky huge hail-stones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon
men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague
was so terrible.
Revelations 19 v 17 – 21:
And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the
birds flying in midair, "Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so
that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horse and
their riders, and the flesh of people, free and slave, small and great." Then I
saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to
make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was
captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs
on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark
of the beast and worship his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the
fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that
came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged
themselves on their flesh.
John 12 v 48:
There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that
very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
Matthew 26 v 24:
The son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who
betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.
Mark 12 v 40:
They devour widows' houses and for show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be
punished most severely.
Luke 16 v 22- 28:
The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side.
The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he
looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to
him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his
fingers in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' But
Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you had received your good
things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you
are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been
fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone
cross over from there to us.' He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus
to my fathers house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they
will not also come to this place of torment.'
Acts 3 v23:
Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his
people
Romans 1 v 18 – 19:
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and
wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be
known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
Romans 8 v 6 – 8:
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life
and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law,
nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
Romans 8 v 13:
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the
Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
1 Corinthians 3 v 17:
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is
sacred, and you are that temple.
1Corinthians 10 v 5 – 11:
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered
over the desert. .Now these things occurred as an example to keep us from
setting our hearts on evil things as they did. .Do not be idolaters, as some of
them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to
indulge in pagan revelry." .We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of
them did – and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test
the Lord, as some of them did – and were killed by snakes. And do not grumble,
as some of them did – and were killed by the destroying angel. These things
happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom
the fulfillment of the ages has come.
Galatians 5 v 19 – 21:
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and
debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage,
selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the
like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not
inherit the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 5 v 5 – 6:
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person– such a man is
an idolater– has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one
deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on
those who are disobedient.
Galatians 3 v 25:
Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.
Colossians 3 v 25:
Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
Isaiah 13 v 8:
Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a
woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame
2 Thessalonians 2 v 8 – 11:
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow
with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. The
coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed
in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of
evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perished because they refused
to love the truth and so be saved.
Hebrews 10 v 26 – 31:
If we deliberately keep in sinning after we have received the knowledge if the
truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment
and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the
law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How
much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled
the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the
covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we
know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, "The Lord
will judge his people." It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God.
1 Peter 3 v 12:
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to
their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
2 Peter 2 v 3 – 17:
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up.
Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has
not been sleeping. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent
them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he
did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people,
but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he
condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made
them and example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued
Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of those lawless
men (For that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in
his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)– if this is so, then
the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous
for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. This is especially
true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise
authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial
beings; yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not
bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord.
But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute
beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like
beasts they too will perish. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they
have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are
blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. With
eyes fill of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they
are experts in greed –an accursed brood! They have left the straight way and
wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of
wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrong doing by a donkey –a beast without
speech – who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.
These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest
darkness is reserved for them.
Revelation 21 v 8:
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually
immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars –their place
will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.
Jude v 5 – 7:
Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered
his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the
angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own
home –these he had kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment
on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns
gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example
of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Revelation 2 v 22 – 23:
So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit
adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will
strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who
searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
Revelation 9 v 3 – 6:
And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like
that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the
earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of
God on their foreheads. They were not given power to kill them, but only to
torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of a
scorpion when it strikes a man. During those days men will seek death, but will
not fin it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
Revelation 14 v 9 – 11:
A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the
beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or hand, he, too, will
drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the
cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of
the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever
and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast or his
image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.
Revelation 19 v 15:
Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He
will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of
wrath of God Almighty.
Jeremiah 2 v 35:
You say, 'I am innocent; he is not angry with me.' But I will pass judgment on
you because you say, 'I have not sinned.'
Revelation 22 v 19:
And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away
from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described
in this book.
Revelation 20 v 15:
If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into
the lake of fire.
