For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and
shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of
the mountains.
2 Samuel 22 v 6:
The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me.

their name for ever and ever.

But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
Psalm 16 v 8 – 10:
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall
not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also
shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou
suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Psalm 18 v 5:
The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
Psalm 55 v 15:
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness
is in their dwellings, and among them.

For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the
lowest hell.
Psalm 116 v 3:
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I
found trouble and sorrow.
Psalm 139 v 5 – 8:
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such
knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither
shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I
ascend up into heaven, thou art there, if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou
art there.
Proverbs 5 v 3 – 8:
For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb and her mouth is smoother
than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her
feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. Lest thou shouldest ponder
the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. Hear me
now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. Remove
thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house.
Proverbs 7 v 27:
Her house is the way to hell, going down into the chambers of death.
Proverbs 9 v 13 – 18:
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. For she
sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city. To
call passengers who go right on their ways: 'Whoso is simple, let him turn in
hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding', she saith to him, 'Stolen
waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant'. But he knoweth not
that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
Proverbs 15 v 10 – 11:
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth
reproof shall die. Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the
hearts of the children of men?

The way of life is above the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.

Withhold no correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he
shall not die. .Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul
from hell.
Proverbs 27 v 20:
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
Isaiah 5 v 11 – 16:
Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong
drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! And the harp, and the
viol, the tabret and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not
the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands. Therefore my
people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their
honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore
hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their
glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend
into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be
humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the Lord of hosts shall
be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in
righteousness.
Isaiah 14 v 9 – 11:
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up
the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from
their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto
thee, Art thou also become weak as we? Art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is
brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under
thee, and the worms cover thee.
Isaiah 14 v 15:
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isaiah 28 v 15 – 18:
Because ye have said, 'we have made a covenant with death, and with hell we are
at agreement: when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come
unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid
ourselves': .Therefore thus saith the Lord God, 'Behold I lay in Zion for a
foundation a stone, a tried stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall
not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the
plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall
overflow the hiding place'.
Isaiah 57 v 9:
And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and
didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.

transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire
be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Ezekiel 31 v 16 – 17:
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down into
hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice
and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether
parts of the earth. They also went down into hell with him unto them that be
slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in
the midst of the heathen.
Ezekiel 32 v 21 – 27:
The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with
them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the
sword. Asshur it there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of
them slain, fallen by the sword: whose graves are set in the sides of the pit,
and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the
sword, which caused terror in the land of living. There is Elam and all her
multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which
are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused
terror in the land of the living; yet have they born their shame with them that
go down into the pit. They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all
her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain
by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have
they born their shame with them that go down into the pit: he is put in the
midst of them that be slain. There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her
graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword,
though their terror was caused in the land of the living. And they shall not lie
with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to
hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their
heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the
terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
Amos 9 v 2:
Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb
up to heaven, thence will I bring them down.
Jonah 2 v 2:
And said, 'I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me;
out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice'.
Habakkuk 2 v 5:
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth
at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be
satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people.
Matthew 5 v 20 – 22:
For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the
kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, 'thou
shalt not kill'; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca',
shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, 'thou fool', shall
be in danger of hell fire.
Matthew 5 v 37 – 30:
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, 'thou shalt not commit
adultery': But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after
her hath committed adultery with her already in is heart. And if thy right eye
offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee
that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be
cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from
thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and
not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 7 v 13 – 14:
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is
the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it.
Matthew 10 v 28:
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but
rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 11 v 23:
And thou Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to
hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in
Sodom, it would have remained unto this day.
Matthew 13 v 37 – 42:
He answered and said unto them, 'He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the
tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the
devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As
therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall all be in the
end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall
gather out of his kingdom all things that offend. And them which do iniquity;
and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing
of teeth'.
Matthew 13 v 47 – 50:
Again, 'the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea,
and gathered of every kind: which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat
down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be
at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from
among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth'.
Matthew 16 v 18:
And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build
my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 18 v 6 – 10:
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were
better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and that he were
drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! For it
must needs be that offences come; but woe unto that man by who the offence
cometh! Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast
them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, rather that
having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye
offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter
life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Take
heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in
heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 23 v 14 – 15:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye devour widows' houses,
and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater
damnation. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye compass sea
and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more
the child of hell than yourselves.
Matthew 23 v 33:
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mark 9 v 43 – 48:
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into
life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that shall
never be quenched: where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. And
if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into
life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never
be quenched: where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. And if
thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the
kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
where THEIR WORM DIETH NOT, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.
Luke 10 v 15:
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down into
hell.
Luke 12 v 5:
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed
hath the power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Luke 16 v 19 – 31:
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and
fared sumptuously every day:
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full
of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's
table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that
the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich
man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in
torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and
said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the
tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this
flame'. But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst
thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and
thou art tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great
gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can
they pass to us, that would come from thence'. Then he said, 'I pray thee
therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my fathers house: for I have
five brethren that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place
of torment'. Abraham saith unto him, 'they have Moses and the prophets; let them
hear them'. And he said, 'Nay Father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the
dead, they will repent'. And he said unto him, 'if they hear not Moses and the
prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead'.
Acts 2 v 25 – 36:
For David speaketh concerning him, I FORESAW THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE MY FACE, FOR
HE IS ON MY RIGHT HAND, THAT I SHOULD NOT BE MOVED: THEREFORE DID MY HEART
REJOICE, AND MY TONGUE WAS GLAD; MOREOVER ALSO MY FLESH SHALL REST IN HOPE:
BECAUSE THOU WILT NOT LEAVE MY SOUL IN HELL, NEITHER WILT THOU SUFFER THINE HOLY
ONE TO SEE CORRUPTION. THOU HAST MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE; THOU SHALT
MAKE ME FULL OF JOY WITH THY COUNTENANCE. Men and brethren, let me freely speak
unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his
sepulcher is with us to this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that
God has sworn with and oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to
the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before
spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither
his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are
witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received
of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye
now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith
himself, THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD, SIT THOU ON MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE THY
FOES THY FOOTSTOOL. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that
God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Romans 6 v 23:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
2 Thessalonians 1 v 4 – 9:
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and
faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a
manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy
of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: seeing it is a righteous thing
with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; and to you who are
troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with
his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on then that know not God,
and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory
of his power.
Hebrews 10 v 28 – 31:
He that despises Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of
how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be worthy, who hath trodden
under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith
he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of
grace; For we know him that hath said, 'VENGEANCE BELONGETH UNTO ME, I WILL
RECOMPENSE', saith the Lord. And again, 'THE LORD SHALL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE'. It is
a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
James 3 v 1 – 6: My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall
receive the greater condemnation. For in many things we offend all. If any man
offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and also able to bridle the whole
body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we
turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so
great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very
small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little
member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire
kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among
our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of
nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
2 Peter 2 v 4 – 9:
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and
delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared
not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of
righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. And turning
the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow,
making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered
just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous
man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from
day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly
out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be
punished.
Revelation 1 v 13 – 18:
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed
with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were
as a flame of fire; and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a
furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand
seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his
countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell
at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, 'Fear
not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death'.
Revelation 6 v 7 – 8:
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast
say, 'Come and see'. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that
sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them
over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with
death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Revelation 19 v 20:
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles
before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast,
and that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire
burning with brimstone.
Revelation 20 v 12 – 15:
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead
were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to
their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21 v 8:
But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake
which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
