An Open Letter - Return to the Lord

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

(Usually, Kathy, David and I write separate columns but this time we all have had such a great burden on our hearts regarding that which the Lord is speaking that we have written this one letter, an appeal to the brothers and sisters, the lost and dying.)

The Apostle Paul said the end was much closer now than when we first believed. How much truer then is his statement today than it was 2,000 years ago? In the visions and the words the Lord has revealed to us in the past few months we have seen little but terror upon terror, disaster upon disaster coming upon the United States.

These were, of course, prophesied in public meetings and a great deal of it has already come to pass, but the worst of all is lately. The Lord has been showing us the amount of adultery, incest, and all manner of sin taking place within the church that bears His name. For truly the prophesy has come to pass that the shepherds no longer seek out the lost, the hurting and the dying, but rather feed themselves on the fatness of the flock. I really wish each of you could read our e-mail so that you could understand the amount of broken marriages, dysfunctional families, and pastors who are in unspeakable sin, for truly it has broken our hearts. We have cried ourselves to sleep more nights than I care to think about.

We have asked the Lord to send us to those individuals who are suffering so badly, those who could not go to church, or worse yet, those the church refuses to help. God in His faithfulness has hearkened unto our cry and opened that door and we will be leaving on approximately the 16th of this month. We will be going to Indiana, Illinois, New York, Texas and several other states. This time we go not for large crusades or mass meetings but rather for small home meetings, individuals, and those who are hospitalized. For the cry of our hearts is to bring the Glory and healing power of God to those who are hurting so badly.

If you are one of those who have been deceived and caught up in sin, are suffering spiritually, physically, or emotionally, please write or e-mail us. Our staff will reach us on the road and we will do everything in our power to try to get to you. Truly, our hearts are broken over those who at one time were dear brothers and sisters and have literally lost all semblance of God, become reprobate, were taken out and sent to hell. We have begged God to allow us to get to others in danger first and as always, He is faithful. If Jesus would leave the 99 to seek the one - should we not also leave the big crusades to seek the one, the family, the children, those multitudes who are turning to homosexuality and lesbianism, those who were once on fire for God and are so beaten down, discourages and depressed they can no longer go on?

God has promised He would anoint us so that we might bring forth His Glory and truly reveal the time of His favor. If you are in bondage, sickness or feel alone and deserted, I urge you to write or e-mail, for as God is my witness, I have seen far too many fail.

There was a young girl from St. Paul, Minnesota and when we held crusades she would sing unto the Glory of God. She was so sweet and filled with the Holy Spirit. We went back last year only to discover she has become a prostitute on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. There was a man who was called as an evangelist and whom I had ministered with many times. I had not seen him for many years but recently received the report that he is now a homosexual prostitute. A young girl who had done some overseas ministry work with us in years gone by and who was filled with a love for Jesus and then, for reasons known only to God, she left the Lord, embraced the devil, started living with her boyfriend and shortly thereafter was killed in an automobile accident. So many women of God in years gone by I see now and hear they are deeply involved in adultery and lesbianism and all manner of evil. Surely Sodom and Gomorrah has come upon us.

There is so much work that yet needs to be done, for the Lord has spoken to us and told us it will soon be night when no man can work, so go forth now and bring My love and power unto all who will hear. I have watched again and again at our staff prayer meetings when all are gathered. God will speak of all the sin and our entire staff has only been able to weep before the Lord and to ask God to send us out, to open that door, to make the anointing greater than it has ever been, to open the hearts and ears of those He sends us to.

You do not need to be defeated, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world! All I can say is I urge you that this is not a time to be timid. You know the place you are in and if you need that new fire, if you have been called to the ministry and need the laying on of hands for the gifts and anointing, if you have fallen into sin and no matter what you do you cannot stop - do not be afraid but call and I give you my word that if it is within our power, within our means, we will come to you. The Lord has told us to bring our ministry equipment so I know we will be holding some house meetings and such. I know not where. I can only follow Him day by day.

Let me end by saying this: God has shown me so much that is about to come upon the face of the earth. Do not trust in your money or riches for I guarantee it will soon be worthless. This will happen overnight and it shall not recover, for the Lord has spoken. The U.S. shall for the first time in history see world war upon their own soil. That which they cannot believe is about to come to pass.
